Nie przyszło nam czekać długo na smaczne owoce współpracy pomiędzy Turbokolor, a legendą deskorolki jaką w moich oczach zawsze był i będzie Chris Haslam. Wspólna kolekcja przygotowana przez chłopaków została opatrzona ładnym lookbookiem, w którym oprócz modelingu nie zabrakło oczywiście zdjęć deskorolkowych. W kolekcji nazwanej „The Noble Stragglers” często występuje połączenie czerwonego z czarnym. Sam nie wiem czy lepiej wygląda to na klasycznej flanelowej koszuli drwala, czy sweterku w stylu Kurta z Nirvany. W ramach współpracy ogarnięty został również szybki wywiadczik z Chrisem, odpytywał go Swanski, czyli założyciel i główny maestro brandu TK. W wywiadzie dowiadujemy się między innymi o tym, że mr. Haslam miał duży wpływ na wygląd swojej kolekcji, może mi nie uwierzycie ale w dzisiejszych czasach wcale nie jest to standardem.
Swanski: Whats going on with The Noble Stragglers? What does it mean?
Chris Haslam: Noble Stragglers is the name of the signature line of clothes that Turbokolor and myself are releasing. Stragglers is a term used to describe a „scattered or disorderly group” which I often feel suits my lifestyle and who skateboarders/artists are. And I added noble because it gives off a more sophisticated feel to the term Stragglers. Which I feel suited myself and the line..
S: How much do you like to be involved in the design process ? Chris Haslam: Turbokolor gave me a lot of involvement in the design aspects of the line. To be honest though, Turbokolor and I seem to be on the same page in what we look for in clothes and designs so everything just came together so quickly.
S: What should we expect from your line, more fashion or practical clothes? Chris Haslam: I’ve never been known for my fashion sense haha that’s why I wear only black these days it’s safest. So with me being the practical clothes type guy, I feel as though Turbokolor does an awesome job at mixing both fashionable and practical clothes into their lines. What I do know is that whatever they make will be a good quality product, and am stoked to be able to collaborate with them on whatever the Noble Stragglers line develops in the future.
S: Does your traveller lifestyle inspired your line?
Chris Haslam: My traveller lifestyle inspires everything that i do. Sometimes my ideas are a bit to personalized and unpractical, so having Turbokolor there to interpret them in a way that would make fashion friendly and yet still practical for what I’m looking for is awesome.
